Drug Pooling and Supplemental Drugs

The Canadian Drug Insurance Pooling Corporation (CDIPC), will share how the Canadian Drug Insurance Pooling Corporation is helping maintain the viability of drug plans when they are hit with one time and recurrent high cost drugs. This session will explain how pooling works, what it is and isn’t, and, using historical data, gaze into a crystal ball to look into the future. The Canadian Drug Insurance Pooling Corporation was created to spread risk and facilitate affordable drug coverage for fully-insured supplementary drug plans. Sun Life will be addressing specialty drugs and chronic conditions.
